Home Farm Life is a partnership comprising a diverse group of organisations, from both the public and private sector, along with a team of expert individuals, who have joined forces to create a green living learning and community farm. We have identified a site just outside Brighton, Home Farm in Stanmer, where we hope to launch this initiative. Our focus will be on improving, protecting and preserving the traditional buildings, in part as a traditional working farm, with a low impact on the surrounding environment. The farm would comprise original buildings and gardens, sensitively converted along eco principles using traditional, recycled materials and in keeping with the mid-eighteenth century village architecture. It would showcase the latest in sustainable living, biodiversity, eco design and preventative healthcare, with an overriding focus on educating the vulnerable, the unskilled and the wider local community to live better, simpler and more fulfilling lives.
